Default Throttle Body pipe

Does anyone know where I could get a hard pipe instead of a silicone hose? I've considered custom or maybe piping from an intercooler kit. Just wondering if anyone knew of any? TIA

With the FMIC you're running, seems to me you'd have to have some kind of hard pipe set up already right? What's the situation between the cold side of your IC and your throttle body?

Cheapest place I've seen to get intercooler piping is eBay or lately ECS Tuning has had that stuff on sale for cheap. you'd have to mock something up to get a good estimate of the lengths and bends you need, then buy silicone couplers to connect them if you can't weld aluminum (which isn't easy). This is why companies like APR and EvoMS get to charge so much friggin money for direct-fit FMIC kits lol

EDIT: I think the eBay seller is called "JustIntercoolers" or some such, and on ECS its sold as aluminum tubing in the "general purpose" section

The hard pipe just goes from the IC to the rubber Throttle body hose. I wish i went all the way up. Yeah I'm just looking for options. Custom might be a hard fit. I found a hard pipe for VW 1.8T. I know they are transverse engines, but I'm curious if it would be close enough to use silicone couplers...

Transverse will be quite different...

I have a similar situation, where the GodSpeed FMIC kit I have uses the stock throttle body hose. Very soon I'll be redoing the entire cold-side piping, for the purpose of converting over to a 3in blow-through style MAF. But the process will be pretty similar to recreating a standard cold-side pipe setup.

When I'm done I can post up parts used and approximate lengths if you'd like.

Just a quick note - this will be done using various aluminum pipes and silicone couplers from Intercooler Pipe Fabrication - Silicone Intake Systems Auto Parts . They offer silicone couplers with bends in them, as well as hump hose couplers, so I'll be cheating a bit
