Tie Rod Boot (the big inner one) - need one ASAP - where?
Snow's here, so I got snow tires this morning. Was informed that my tie rods were dangerously bad so I bought them and was working on the second one, but the boot's dead. I can get a ride to pick one up tomorrow but... where can I find one? I absolutely need this car running again for Monday. Near me, the stores that I know are AutoZone, Advance, Carquest, NAPA, Consumer Auto Parts. I am only seeing the boots for the outer tie rod ends (the small ones) when I search on Autozone/Advance websites.
Edit: Oh, it's called a steering rack & pinion boot, no wonder. NAPA's site lists it... now I just have to hope it's in stock locally. There was a little bit of grease in it - should I be putting grease back in there? There wasn't that much of it really.
