I'm kind of in between whether I like it or not...

I'm glad there bringing back a forced induction system in the S4 though, the supercharged V6 w/ 350 hp will be nice!

Honestly, I love the B8. I haven't driven it yet, but I will be in the next two days or so, both V6 and turbo four, along with an S5 (I was talking with a salesman at length a week or so ago and extracted a promise to take them all out the next time I stop by - stoked about the S5 ). I love the styling treatment on it - to me, the front end looks great with the LED running lights, but without them it seems more bland (they had one of each at the local dealer, parked side by side). Overall impressions will wait until I drive it, but I really like what I see.

And for ouzo 2, if I remember right, the four is 211hp and the six is 265hp. V6 is tip only (boo) but the four is tip or six-speed. Decent, but with BMW putting down 300hp in their entry to this class, it's still underpowered. What I'm curious about is what will happen with the RS4. We know the S4 will be a force-inducted six, but I'm wondering whether the RS4 will be another V8 (since the new M3 is also a V8) or if they'll further develop the supercharged six, kind of how they did the B5 RS4 based on the B5 S4's biturbo six.

A year ago I though I wanted a B6 or B7 but then when I was actually serious about getting one the B5 was in my price range and I realized I liked how it looked way more. I do like the front end on the B7 but the tail lights kill it IMO. The B8 is awesome though but I agree completely the B5 is still my favorite.

Agreed. Too bad the new A4 is hella expensive compared to our B5's!

eh, judging by the pics im guessing its going to be heaaaaavy... looks much more cumersome than our b5's do and it doesnt help it look any more sporty by going bigger and bigger every year... b9 a4 should be designed by a b5 owner with new age styling cues but smaller lighter sportier body : )

anyway that pic looks exactly like an a6 whatever i cant afford one anyway

You can't tell weight by its picture... Find some specs. It's gonna be heavier than the B5 though, each A4 model has progressively gotten heavier, but with an engine upgrade that handles the weight.

2009: Curb Weight (Auto): 4079 lbs
2008: Curb Weight (Auto): 3759 lbs
2006: Curb Weight (Auto): 3450 lbs
2005: Curb Weight (Auto): 3197 lbs
2000: Curb Weight (Auto): 3163 lbs
