My gates timing belt came out short ! it wont fit its for a audi a4 2000 atw engine they keep sending me a 150 teeth timing belt and says it fits the AEB ATW engine but it does not! why does it not fit its driving me crazy this is the second time i get a belt that does not fit a my missing something? i keep hearing the atw needs a 152 or 153 teeth belt.

 

It should fit. Any way you could post a pic of it not fitting? You kind of have to put the tensioner roller and the belt on together and then use a big hex iirc, its been awhile since I've been in there.

 

how can it not fit if you replace the tensioner? odd
