timing belt question

Default timing belt question

i have been reading bout the timing belt and how to have to change it at 105 i bought my car with 133000 miles and now its at 122000 miles this mean the person changed it right cuz it hasnt brokewn yet right ?

how did your mileage go down? lol you prolly mixed up the numbers. timing belt won't give any warning when it'll break. when it does, it'll happen. take the cover off and check the belt out. you can never assume about that belt.

sorry i got the car at 113000 and now im at 122000 miles and it a 2000 a4 1.8t so how do i check the belt

I suggest stongly that you contact previous owner if possible. Or check with an audi dealership for records. If the belt is not changed you are walking on very thin ice

im telling everyone this... JUST DO IT!!! and i wouldnt feel safe just checking the belt, my belt is fine but the tensioner broke. $2K later its still not running.
