I have a 01 A4 quattro and I am trying to get a spare key so I went to my local Audi dealer and to my surprise the parts attdent told me that a spare key would cost $100 to $160 depending if had to be programed.I wanted to know if these price's are right.Can somebody please let me know. That's a litte high. Although you are getting the originals. Can a person that replicates keys make a copy of yours for allot less.

Buy an uncut key FOB on ebay, find a place that has a laser cutter, and then program it yourself. Cheapest way to go about it.

 

yeah i went to the stealership two days ago for the same thing and they wanted $230!!

 

yeah man I bought my key on ebay for like 25 dollars and then went to a vw dealer to have them cut it for 8 dollars......when you buy the key on ebay look for one that includes the instructions on how to program the key....it seriously takes all of 3 min. If they dont include the instructions you can find it online.
