Default timing chain tensioner

alright so my tensioner for my timing belt has been coming unhooked, luckily both times i caught it before i fucked my engine over. can someone tell me if theres a special technique to get it on correct. i would really like to keep the radiator and core support on the car. i have got it back on twice so far but both times in last a few hours then randomly came off. the car had the timing belt done at 110000 miles its at 137000 now.

thanks

what do you mean "unhooked"? And how are you catching it before your motor gets fucked lol?

alright theres a little hook type thing that pulls out and hooks onto the tensioner "bolt" i guess you would call it which puts tension on the timing belt. it pops off and the timing belt start to have slack and i can here it start to make noise so i shut it off and coast to a stop.
