im at 210k with a motor rebuilt at 150k so i am due for a timing my tensinor has be squeling since 201k when i bought the car the car screams at about 5500k making a loud bearing noise that you can hear from a mile away so how long do you think i have before that bearing ceaze up on me?

 

i wouldn't mess with a timing belt component lol. unless you want to swap in a 2.7tt or another aha. check your serpentine tensioner roller bearing though. we had a friend's passat do the same thing and it was super loud.

 

yeah like when ever i get lost and my friend is on the phone i go hold on and floor the car and he can hear it from when im a mile or 2 down the road its crazy you can hear it over traffic and everything like omg its louder than a fire truck, i think it sounds like a train coming down the road but anyways, me and my dad are talking about ordering the parts i just layed down 800 square feet of hard wood floors in his game room so i should get paid pretty good, now i knw the newer 2.8's had updated parts to make the timing go longer if i order a new kit from ecs or bluaparts do i get the new timing stuff?
