Tire question/ What should I mod next.
offset
safe wheels and offsets are 18x8 or smaller with tires 225/45 or smaller if an offset between 35 to 45 is a safe route. i have an et33 (et aka offset) on my wheels and with the 225-45s it lines right up with the fender, it also matters if you lower your car.
FWIW within the next month or so, thanks to Tire Rack and APR for the hook up we will be trying to fit 17x 9.5 18x10's and 18x11's under my car WITHOUT rolling the fenders out! I'm very doubtful it's going to work but we will see! I have a feeling we will end up with the 17x9.5s but that's for track use!

[QUOTE=CCA4;1251723]You gotta rip out the headliner and unbolt them from the bottom, then plug up the holes with something, preferably not bondo, smarty pants

"offset" is a measurement of the distance between the center line of a wheel and the inner surface that contacts the hub on your car. For reference, the skinny wheels drag racers put on the front of their cars have (almost) no offset, but the back wheels of BMW's often have a large offset.
The reason this is important is that you have to find the correct offset to achieve the stance and look you want without rubbing on your fenders or suspension parts.

Plenty more available from the Google Machine
