I don't think 245/40 would rub since you're running the 40 instead of 45.

Let us know how it goes though.

I had a closer look at the pictures, and it seems the ExtremeContact DWS tires do have the curb guard. Should be handy for when my wife misjudges the distance from the curb... again

Got my new wheels and tires installed last week. Loving them so far, and the appearance draws a lot of attention:

(the 2012 Beetle is my wife's new car)

And these 2 really show off the rust on my car (and my new Helix headlights with HID projectors)

look liek the wheel i see on everyone elses car
chrom lip and black not my cup of tea, along with your headlights.

Love the new beetle tho The color of your car is nice, looks like it needs some tlc before it becomes a giant rust bucket. Its always best to stop rust when you first see it vs waiting.

Not too bad. Like Jon, I'm not a fan of those headlights.

The car could use some lowering too!

The look I was going for with the wheels was the classic Buick Grand National appearance:

Unfortunately I couldn't find anything with a crosslace pattern, so I settled for TSW Valencias instead. I used to have Borbets on there:

But I found those fugly as hell, and the back ones were bent.

As for the headlights, that was the cheapest and easiest way to upgrade to HIDs and add DRLs at the same time, which is necessary for the car to pass inspection next week (I just imported it to Canada).

I first saw it when I bought the car... the rust is an inheritance. But rust removal is a far distant priority compared to getting the car inspected and plated in Quebec, which is taking up a ton of my time lately. Hopefully before winter kicks in, I'll have all the rust removed and the whole car re-cleared.

HAH! Never gonna happen. You'll be horrified when I RAISE it by 1.5" before winter and add black fender flares and oversized winter tires.

(I'm not kidding)
