It'll depend on the tire you decide to run. You may need a 5mm spacer.

Personally I choose 225/45/17 because it more closely matches the stock tire size, and your speedometer won't be off by as much.

If you'd like, I can sell you a pair of ECS Tuning 5mm spacers with longer bolts. I actually bought these for the same exact reason you're thinking you might need them... my previous wheels were S4 wheels, which are 17x7.5 ET45. Being FWD, I would actually rub slightly on the inside until I installed the spacers.

im running 17x7.5 et 35 with 215/45 that i got mounted this morning, i like it thus far im pretty low though i was 23 gtff and 23.5 gtfr

actually i changed my mind... im going to get 205/50/R17

i found a 205/45/r17 tire today at school and i tried it on my rim and it fits nicely but the side wall was kinda thin... so im going to go with 50 side wall ... or should i go 45? i know if i go 45 the wheel diameter will be closer to stock than 50... and i dont wanna mess up the beauty of Quattro so yea im kinda stuck
