OK so now that I have everyone's attention, there's a petition afoot that's in favor of the NHTSA recognizing other countries safety regulations that are as good as ours or better. This'll help us get cars like this:

Not to rain on your parade, but where's the proof that the "other countries" crash test procedures are as "good or better than" ours? Which countries are we talking about?

I'm a huge proponent of strict crash test methodologies. I was once broad-sided on the driver's door by a semi, in my Honda CRX. Now you know why I drive an Audi.
