Default Total Vacuum Hose Replacement

Does anyone know about how much I'll need of each type of hose for a 1.8t AWM?

Whew, that DIY made my head spin. So many hoses and valves.

Will this DIY work for me even if I'm concerned with emissions, fuel economy, and fault codes?

Also, does anyone know if this DIY would apply to an AWM engine?

needed about 8 ft of the little hose from advance for 2000 1.8, solved 'too lean' code problem.

audizine is filled with cars that are modified for optimimum performance and "engine bay neatness" and many of the DIYs posted there will lead to constant check engine lights and failed emissions tests, so it is important that you consider your own goals before undergoing such mods.

like hartsoe1 said, you can order about 6-8ft of silicon hose to replace the small braided vacuum lines that often fail, this is a simple and OEM type procedure

All the vacuum lines have the same inside diameter?

What kind of clamps should I use?

I beleive the inside diameter is 4mm, a quick search can confirm this.

I used POS zip ties to secure my hoses I figure its not too critical for a vacuum line, and they are cheap. Knock on wood, they have lasted 20,000miles with no sign of failing.
