Default Trailer hitch?

Anyone install/have a trailer hitch on their B5?

I'm thinking of towing my quad which weighs about 600lbs...

Pics or links to where I can get a hitch would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Thats alot of wear and tear on the drive train and suspension and wheel bearings and non of that is cheap on an audi I wouldn't do it.

Yeah, our cars arn't meant to be pulling that behind them... I would put so much extra stress on your drivetrain... not worth it IMO.

I put a hitch on my B5. I am pulling a small single axel trailer with my 01 Honda 250R on it. I cant even feel the trailer. The weight on the hitch with the trailer loaded is only 80 lbs. Our cars have plenty of power to pull a smaller trailer. My brother had a Civic with a hitch and pulled the same trailer for 6 or more years with no problems at all. Just dont over load the trailer and keep the weight evenly distributed. Here are a few pictures of the one I made.
(sorry pictures were taken from my cell)

I put a hitch on my v6 when I bought the car and towed my Fiat x1/9 600 kms. home through the mountains. It towed the 2200 lb. car at 100 kms. up a 10% grade and felt like it didn't even notice it had a car behind it. I was impressed. The hitch was factory made, not Audi and very similar to the hitch A4B5guy has made. I figure if the car cannot do what I ask of it I will get replace it with something that will. The car should be able to tow the load you plan on without a problem to any part of the car. The load on the drive train will be less than running the car at full throttle which it handles easily. B.

I do love the two stroke for sure. But sadly next year I will be picking up a four stroke due to the fact that they are banning two strokes from the tracks and trails due to emissions and noise laws. I will definetly keep my two stroke for my own land though.

if your car is stock and it's the 2.8, you'll be fine, just don't go pulling a yacht. it's a bit riskier with the 1.8t but it should be fine too
