I have a 99 a4 it won't move. It doesnt feel like it even goes into gear exept reverse .reverse works.if I put it in manual shift,it just goes to drive not first. The ok light never comes on.If I pull out the maf sensor ,it will go into limp mode and then it will move. On vag com I pull codes 1602 suplly voltage low
1624 mil request
0102 maf circuit low input
1857 load signal error
27-00 brake light switch

 

I have a 99 a4. 2.8 Quattro . The gears will shift to 1 & 2 and. Reverse but nothing else . What could be the problem

 

Does it feel like its slipping in reverse? Have you checked the fluid level? The codes you getting are for the fam sensor and the brake light switch, the mil request mean that you have codes int he trans module. Scan the transmission and let me know what you get. And we go from there...

The brake light switch was the only code in the TCM. No it doesn't slip in reverse or in third while in limp mode

 

check the trans module... its under passenger side floor...

 

When you say it doesn't move please give more detail. When you put it in drive does it rev freely when you attempt to move forward?

Are you leaking any fluid?

I checked the fluid and a little came out.it didn't smell burnt.also when inof limp mode I can feel it go in gear but notwhen out of limp mode I cant

 

I have it on jack stands and I went to take the wheels off and they all spin. With it in park. Is this mormal

 

There should be some play back and fourth but generally if in park it the wheels should only be able to rock back n fourth you should not be able to rotate the wheel completely at least in the front.
