Default Transmission problem

Hey everyone, I have a 2000 A4 Quattro 1.8t ATW w/ an EFQ transmission. I replaced the torque converter and front pump in the original transmission (had the spun bushing problem) a couple years ago, and a few months ago it started slipping. I purchased a used EFQ with 75k miles on it, and put the 1-2 yr old torque converter in it.

Now, the car is all back together, and it slips on inclines (when moving from a stop). It's fine on hills and inclines if you're already in 2nd or 3rd gear, but it slips initially if you're stopped on a hill. Could this be a TCM problem? I replaced the TCM once with the old transmission and it quit slipping for a while, then started again. Or, could it be a torque converter problem? It seems weird that it slips on inclines just like the old transmission (the old trans was starting to slip really badly in 3rd-4th gear too, and this new one isn't doing that... yet).

Any help is MUCH appreciated!! Thanks in advance!
