Default Trip-tonic Gear Box Oil Change

My A4 is 1.9TDi, year 2000 Diesel with a Trip-tonic gears.
Since of late I have noticed a delay in changing of gears upward when on Auto mode.
Should I change the Transmission oil? It has done almost 100,000 km.
Any advice will be appreciated.

does it have a delay all the time or is it only when the car is cold? when i drive my car in the morning the RPMs go up to 3k before it changes the gear, but once the fluids warm up it changes sooner at around 2k.

Well, it is happening all the time . I haven't noticed an improvement even after driving for about 1 Hr without stopping the engine. I bought the car recently. Earlier owner has never used it on the manual mode. This started happening after I started using the manual mode when I do some distance.

I would definitely change it. That is right around the mark when it should be starting to darken. Recommended intervals on tranny fluid changes for cars are 60,000 miles so id say you are ready. Plus you will notice a difference in smoothness of shifts and agility off the line.

I changed my gear box oil. Filter also. I used 5 lts of oil. I came across another problem. Previous owner has damaged the oil sump and he has not used the correct oil . Some oil used for Japanese cars. I might have to do another oil change soon as I feel there is still some old oil left in the system. Any advice please.

Go to Audi or and buy their tranny fluid, or www.blauparts.com and get Pentosin and flush the tranny with the stuff you buy. It'll take 5 liters like you said and you'll need an extra liter (maybe two?) for the flush. Audi's and veedubs are sensitive to the fluid they get. If you change to a different fluid, say Mobil-1 ATF, then you need to do a complete flush on the system. Audi/VW tranny oil doesn't mix with anything else. Sidenote: after the flush change the filter too. It still has that Jap crap in it.
