do you think that i would mess my car up by using the new turbo??

and i'v looked at chips for it and their like $300-$500. and i don't want to make that big of a mistake because the electrical in these cars is unreal, and not something i want to get into.any sugestions??

Get a GIAC chip. They had a group buy for something like 250 I think. They give you like 50hp and 50 torque I think.

You won't mess up your car using a 12lb spring. Boost will just be delivered later in the powerband, possibly too late for what would be considered acceptable. Might run a tad rich, but not dangerously. The + side will be that the turbo won't be exhausted by 5k rpms and it will pull all the way to redline. Probably harder than if you didn't have a 12 lb spring, but at the same time you get penalized down low where you most often need that boost to get your heavy *** car going.

I hate to be a fanboy, but I'd recommend a speedtuning chip for $200.

Hows it gonna change when the boost comes? All it does is open the waste gate later so the boost goes higher I thought.

Max boost is dictated by the mbc or ecu via n75 valve.

takes longer for the turbo to get to 12psi than 7psi (stock wg spring is 7lb) in order to open the wastegate fully.

That is a glorified ebay "chip" that connects to your intake air temp sensor. All it does is trick your engine into running rich constantly and in turn increasing timing slighty, which you can maybe get 3-5 hp from without actually reprograming the ecu. No way for that "chip" to remap your fuel, timing and boost like a real chip. Look up GIAC or speedtuning or APR for sure.

You wouldn't happen to know a guy named travis kemp, would you?
