Turbo making a loud whistling noise...concerned

turbos get hot. its what they do. unless the car is overheating, just being generaly hot isnt bad.

For one thing, it's very likely that the chip caused problems for you itself, since if RE Amemiya isn't doing much business in the US, someone probably had the chip imported. Problem is, they're tuning for Japanese octane levels, and the fuel mixtures are different over there. Guys in the Z scene when I was in there had the same problems with the Mine's ECU for the Z- the calibrations were completely wrong for use in the US.

Just an FYI not really related to the original topic of the post, but thought you might want to know.

okay gettin an oil change soon i'll take it in and get the codes checked.

Is there anywhere that i could do it free possibly? I live in Denver.

You can get codes pulled at Autozone, Advanced or most of those parts retailers.
