Default Upgraded SMIC (EBAY?)

Now I know a lot of people on here are not happy with ebay stuff, but I just have a quick question.
I know a lot of ppl on here have used a ebay FMIC kit and seem to really love it and I was wanting to know if anyone has used something like this before?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JETTA-BORA-G...bc898f&vxp=mtr

I know there are bigger smic out there, but they rang from 500-800 and I was just wanting to know if this would work.
Thanks

Since it's not designed for our cars the inlet, outlet, and mounting points for that are different than our stock SMIC. Dimensinons aren't as big as Apikol's SMIC so it should physically fit in the space, but it would be up to you to to make the mounting and plumbing work.

That's what I was thinking, but it doesn't look that off and the seller told me it would fit, but I didn't believe him. I just want a nice upgrade from stock, but not spend 500+. A lot of ppl use ebay for fmic, but I don't want a fmic. any other suggestions?
thanks

There were a coupla different companies that offered upgraded SMIC's, but they were so expensive that not many are offered anymore. It will "fit" as in it will occupy the same space that the OEM SMIC did, but with the position of the inlet/outlet there's no way the OEM hoses would work.

Ok thank you. I have upgraded hoses, but I don't think they will fit either. Thank you for your input

Upgraded is good, it's just the position of the inlet. The outlet appears to be in the right place.

So the inlet is the one that is off in the picture?
Is that the one that doesn't come out flush?
Thanks

Right, in the picture in that eBay ad, the outlet appears to be in roughly the right spot. The MAP sensor bung is in a different position but I can't see that being a huge problem. On SMIC's for our car, the inlet and outlet are on the same horizontal plane like in this picture:

The rubber connector between the intercooler inlet and the hard pipe that runs the length of the bumper won't work with the inlet on that Jetta piece. You could prolly get it to work if you trimmed the hard pipe and used custom plumbing.
