Default VAG-COM issues with central lock recoding

Greetings,

I wanted to test my new interface using the 409.1 software. My goal was to recode the central locking system. The interface works well, it reads all codes, deletes/resets faulty codes, but when trying to recode the central locks, after hitting "do-it", it reverts to the original value (I am trying to get 16172 to change to 15208). I'm not sure if replacing the stock radio with an aftermarket unit has anything to do with this...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thx

Yes I am...it's reading the #35 module, pulling all up all info for VAG, Soft Coding, Component & Shop. Then I select recode, key in my new code under Workshop Code, click "Do It!", screen clears and then, instead of seeing the new code being read, the original info is being displayed (looks like it's trying to write, but in fact it doesn't)...
