Default Issue with recoding of central locks....

So, I have VAG COM, and wanted to change my locking behavior. My Factory code is: 12172

Address 35: Centr. Locks Labels: 8D0-862-257.LBL
Controller: 8LO 862 257 B
Component: CV-Pump, Alarm, RC D03
Coding: 12172
Shop #: WSC 65535
No fault code found.

So I wanted to recode to the following:

+64 Windows up, sunroof close, and windows down with remote.
-04 One touch unlock of all 4 doors and trunk
+32 Auto lock/unlock of doors (Doors lock at 15 mph and unlock when key is removed)

so I added and subtracted the above, came up with: 12264...

When I recode and hit Do IT! it always defaults back to the 12172???

Anyone else have or had this issue??

thanks

there is a pretty good tutorial on a4mods.com. Seems to indicate that you need to make the changes in Control Module 46, the central convenience controls, not in Module 35, the central locking controls. The write up says you have to code for an adaptation first, then you can recode the module. It also has a script on the write up that allows you to check off the options that you want and it performs the calculations for you.

I haven't tried it yet so I can't give you any first hand knowledge. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Okay. So I finally went to a4mods.com to follow the tutorial. Problem NOW is, VAG COM tells me I have no central control module (Module 46)???? Am I missing something here? So I then used vag com to scan for all my modules and this is what I have:

Address 01: Engine
Protocol: KW1281
Controller: 4D0 907 551 A
Component: 2.8L V6/5V MOTR HS D04
Coding: 06201
Shop #: WSC 06335

Address 03: ABS Brakes
Protocol: KW1281
Controller: 4D0 907 379 L
Component: ABS/EDS BOSCH 5 4171
Coding: 0265109043
Shop #: BB 34171

Address 08: Auto HVAC
Protocol: KW1281
Controller: 8L0 820 043 B
Note: Excessive Comm Errors

Address 15: Airbags
Protocol: KW1281
Controller: 8D0 959 655 D
Component: Airbag 7 Audi 0301
Coding: 00102
Shop #: WSC 06335

Address 17: Instruments
Protocol: KW1281
Controller: 8D0 919 036 D
Component: B5-KOMBIINSTRUMENT__D12
Coding: 00262
Shop #: WSC 00001

Address 33: OBD-II
Protocol: ????
Controller: OBD-II/EOBD, Protocol Keyword: $0808

Address 35: Centr. Locks
Protocol: KW1281
Controller: 8LO 862 257 B
Component: CV-Pump, Alarm, RC D03
Coding: 12172
Shop #: WSC 65535

I then RE-SCANNED for error and fault codes...nothing just some COM errors on HVAC system...everything else is clean, no CELs, no codes?? WTF??

THEN, I went BACK into central locks and tried to recode the 12172 to 12264 AGAIN, but it keeps defaulting back to the 12172.

I looked at Ross Techs wiki, found no answers....

And remember EVERYTHING in the car works; my locks, windows, lights, sunroof etc..EVERYTHING works....except the cruise control.....

Any ideas?
