so i have a 97 b5 2.8l with almost 200k on the clock. when im beating on it a little, i.e 4 + 5k shifts, sometimes it sputters after i let the clutch out. it doesnt do it all the time. and its only at lower rpms, 2-3.5k with the pedal to the floor. i want to say that my clutch is going, but im not sure. any ideas guys?

 

wouldn't be the clutch causing that. Try to do a throttle body adaption. leave the key "on" without starting and let it sit for 3 minutes.
