Default Welcome back (for me) ....

Well after months of fighting with the insurance company, and then having to sue the lady that hit me because her insurance wouldn't pay for the full damages I finally got the car back together and it is a good feeling to see her complete again. There are still a few small details to work out and I am still working on some more custom carbon fiber interior pieces but that's another on going project .................. as if these things ever end ............

I decided not to shave the vents this time around (even though most people voted for shaved on a poll ) because I still have some other body work to do and I wanted to see how they looked first. I am looking at a new rear bumper and also shaving the fender side markers and upper door molding at which time I can shave the vents if I have not grown used to them. I get to enjoy the car for a week before it goes into the shop to finish up the paint .........

i like it a lot! Is it a fiberglass kit though? the only reason i ask is bc the back skirt isn't flush with the wheel well. I just did the switch from fiberglass to abs, quite expensive...

The back bumper is a Rieger and it is ABS while the front and the sides are fiberglass. The front was hit earlier this year and it was a Rieger as well, but I had a hard time finding a replacement. I just decided to go with a Kerscher copy in fiberglass. I have always been careful about driving it so I'll just have to wait and see how it holds up.

The back is actually for a European Audi which has a shorter bumper but I am in the process of replacing that as well with a bumper that flows better with my current sides and front. It will probably be fiberglass as well but it will be one piece as apposed to an add on like what I have.

The front is actually fiberglass that is injected with plastic so it is more flexible than fiberglass alone.

Thanks,

So are you not a fan of the carbon fiber hood or this particular carbon fiber hood. This one is made by Vorsteiner while my previous one was by Fiber Images.

The FMIC is made by Racetec and I love it! ........

Thanks, .......

I'm actually going to do a paint job on the car that will tie everything together and make it flow better, (I hope )

saw this over on the zine first but I gotta say I'm happy to see her back on the road. it's been a while since she was whole but she looks beautiful.

and I can't wait to see what you get made in Carbon next. Maybe CF window visors?

The Reiger kit doesn't really do it for me, but everything else about the car look great.
