package that I don't need. I took it out of my car to add new gear. Not sure if I should keep it or not, so I figured I'd see if anyone needed/wanted to buy it.

Only thing missing is the integrated phone speaker (which a non bose car won't have a hole for anyway) and the two brackets that hold the rear subs in the decklid - which can be fabricated easily. I used them to install my new speakers.

So anyway - not really a for sale post, just thought I'd mention it here first. If I do post it for sale it will probably go on Audiworld classifieds.

Consists of:
Front 4" Bose woofer, Front 1" Bose tweeters
Rear Passenger Doors: 5.1/4" woofers
Rear Decklid: 6.5" Bose woofers
Trunk mounted Bose Amp

hah - man I have a friend exactly like that. Asks your opinion and then does the exact opposite. No problem about the HU.

 

I have a 00 A4 with the non premium stereo system. What is entailed in upgrading to the Premium stereo ?</P>

how hard would it be to install this on 2000 A4, with a regular system, my speakers are getting kind of blown <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley3.gif border="0"> and buying same ones wouldnt make sense. Is the symphony headunit the same thing as a Bose headunit?

 

The headunits are made by Blaupunkt or Clarion I think. The Concert (mine) and Symphony radios are not easily interchangable as far as I know - diff wiring harnesses and stuff. Firestarter, what are you looking to do? New HU? new speakers? I just did all that if you have any questions.

Upgrading to the Premium Bose is not that hard - your car should already be wired for it. You need the Bose amplifier and all of the speakers to give you what the Bose system has.

The non premium system has Nokia speakers instead of Bose.<edited><editID>brrman</editID><editDate>38001.6591898148</editDate></edited>

 

well what is the difference of a Concert head unit Symphony?

if concert is better then i'm looking to put the whole thing in with the speakers.
