Default What?

I talked to this kid today who said if I ran too open of an exhaust on my 30v, that it would **** up the valves some how. True or not true? Discuss.

not true....I have never heard such a thing....when I used to track my miata I ran headers to 2.75" piping....

my 4.0L explorer ran headers to hfc's to anX-pipe to 3" the rest of the way back

never once have I heard of medding up valves tith too large of an exhaust....

as long as you are running OEM manifold to Cats...you can go as large as you want after the cat witout any mechanical problems....

You wont damage anything, you will just lose power. NA motors need to keep the exhaust velocity up and increasing the diam to large will hinder that.

Thanks guys. Cincy, that's EXACTLY what I thought when he said it; now I'm sure he's smoking something.
