Spoiler: Read the label. It says "PCV return", not PCV valve.
Spoiler #2:
ORIGINAL: Leifer

I'm not exactly sure what it looks like on a 2.8, but here's one on a 1.8:

Okay, so maybe you're not talking about my pic. In which case:

Spoiler: You can see the pancake valves *RIGHT THERE*. Do you even know what you're talking about?
Spoiler #2: You can't see where the outlets go.
Spoiler #3: You can't see the PCV return. The valve itself isn't 100% of the system.

Leifer's pic is correct.

pete7 - It's the EVAP canister purge regulator valve - N80

The EVAP system (evaporative emissions control system) filters vapors from the fuel tank through an activated carbon filter, so that fuel fumes are not let in to the atmosphere. The EVAP canister purge regulator valve lets these vapors go through the filter and into the engine's intake manifold under certain conditions. During these conditions, you may hear the valve clicking rapidly -- this is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

Thanks Craig, I was hoping someone would come to support my statements, so me and Kemp wouldn't have to duke it out.

Kemp:

OP's pic, the pic in the thread I linked, or my pic? Before you start assuming you're right, know what you're arguing for.
