Default What the Audi!

I went out this morning to start my car and head off to church, yeah i know a good boy huh. Turned it on, when to turn the wheel to get outa my drive way and a huge whurring noise, loud enough that my dad heard it in his car across the driveway. I drive the 10 mile drive and once parked checked my steering fluid. All frothy and bubbly. After church i went and checked it with the car on and it was slowly building up small surface bubbles, drove it home with no noises or anything, checked it once i got home and it was fine. Any ideas of to what caused that? Maybe a air pocket of some sort?

Same thing happened to me a coupla months ago. I flushed and replaced the P/S fluid (it was long overdue anyway) and that fixed the problem. Not sure if thats common or not but its been fine since i flushed the fluid.

Was it at the normal level? I had the same noise when the level was low from a leak. If your belly pan is on take it off and check for leaks. If you don't find anything I would flush it and make sure you use the right fluid.

lmao. Using your mom's turkey baster to take P/S fluid outta your car is not in your best interests. How did it look?

It was darker than i thought it should look. i really need to bite the bullet and go get more of it and flush out the whole system. Can you get it anywhere besides the dealership? Cus the closest one is over an hour away. and thats a long drive for just 2 or 3 bottles of hydrolic fluid.

You can get it online if you're willing to wait. Prolly a lot cheaper than the dealer too.
