V-Maxx aren't that expensive compared to other companies.

Or you can even go for used sets. I know some companies offer lifetime warranties for their coilovers.

aledelic, you're 12v too?

I'm heavily debating coilovers on stock wheels, or just Race springs on stock or S4 struts on some 18" reps or something. This is a very informative thread, thats why I bumped it!

How high can the VMAXX's go?

.clipse has V-Maxx on his TT and said it's decent for the price.

I'm not running V-Maxx my self so I don't have personal experience.

I'm not sure exactly how high. I dunno if this helps but here's a picture of how my rears are, you can see they can go quite a lot higher than mine are.

I like them. They're far from the best but it's pretty much what I was expecting for the price. The ride is rough but I've gotten used to it. I'm riding on my front bumpstops and it makes it really bouncy at times so I have to cut/remove them.
