What is this connected to the lower CA with electrical connection?
My buddy has a 2001 A4 (1.8t, sport model i believe). He has this arm that goes right next to the front sway bar link on the driver side that is about the same length as the front sway bar but is perfectly straight and much thinner (1/4" thick?). Its connected to what looks like a little servo motor or something with an electrical connector running to it. The arm is connected to the lower CA with a clamp of some sort (the clamp looks very weak, and so does the arm so it doesnt seem like it carries much force). The wiring looks stock, although there were some performance things added before he got it (chip, and just discovered today: rear sway bar). The other weird thing is that there is only one of these on the driver side... I didnt have a camera otherwise i would have taken a picture... Any ideas??
hes got a prefacelift... dont the 00-01 have the xenons??
edit: didnt really read the whole post... reread and actually... that might be the sensor to get the temperature for the center disp on the cluster...

Why would there be a sensor connected to the lower CA? Wouldnt it want something that senses the cars overall tilt more-so to see how the angle should be adjusted?
EDIT: But i guess thats what its for I found it in my service manual. Interesting.
