It got shipped "package service" That means slow as molasses. It took a boat trip because of size.
I'm going to put it on now. We have a auto crafts shop that has every tool you can imagine and lifts to use so it shouldn't take very long.

Sweet! You may need to adjust the hangers for the rear muffler. I couldn't get the tips on mine to sit straight in the valence cut out. I think a torch and some bending will fix it, but I haven't had time to try yet.

Yea,I thought I had it moved enough and after the drive home it had melted part of my valance. After a few good swift kicks it's centered better now.

I put $20 of fuel in it today, and drove it. Simple, fast, and I was left happy

I'm due for another oil change and am about to perform one just curious what the other B5ers are using for winter/cold weather... I've used Mobil 1 5w/30 in the past, I live in Erie PA so I can usually expect fair - moderate snowfall and pretty freaking cold temps.
And on a side note I'm getting pretty excited to put on the snowtires I bought this summer.

I grew up in Erie! Still have tons of family and friends there, I'll have to hit you up next time I'm up that way.

Over the weekend:
-replaced turbo-to-exhaust manifold gasket for the millionth time, and also shifted my HFC away from the frame so it would stop contacting it and making horrid noises/vibrations on the freeway
-replaced the factory crush washer for the coolant port plug on my FrankenTurbo... it was leaking coolant
-cleaned up a used intake manifold and extra throttle body (they look MUCH nicer!)
-installed Verdict Motorsports billet injector cups to replace the crappy/cracked stock plastic injector cups (in the intake manifold)
-added a copper sealing washer to the splitter for my oil pressure gauge at the oil cooler to stop that oil leak
-replaced my destroyed upper timing belt cover with a used one that I made clean

In the process of reinstalling the coolant crossover pipe, I managed to slightly distort the aftermarket coolant flange enough so that it won't seal where the pipe attaches to it didn't find out until I lost a lot of coolant while refilling the expansion tank. Picked up OEM parts (coolant flange + o-ring) at the VW dealer for $45

And lastly I still have yet to install the used Passat B5 driver-side engine bay cover I got last week. Should look good when it's fitted

Today took it out on a cruise and had hell staying with the sti's and ss blazer. Tires were either rubbing, or were smoking from sliding in corners but there was no smell all my fluids were good, wasnt breaks...So idk where the smoke was coming from,(coming out of the bay from the strut tower and off around the wheel only on front pass side.)
yesterday went out for a shoot with some friends...

Default Sub Install

Traded a young kid an old head unit for a Rockford 12" sub. A week later I found a box at a yard sale for 5 bucks. A friend of mine gave me an old Kenwood amp and I bought an install kit. A few hours later and I've got a budget system that compliments the factory Bose very well..The red LED's were kind of an afterthought, but I think they look cool
