Writing it up is something I've been threatening to do for awhile. I'll get on with it and post a DIY.

I'm about to install new license plate housings, its pretty easy right? unscrew the felt screws of the liner, unscrew the bolts holding the locking cyclinder and pull out the old housings?

Super easy.

Unscrew trunk liner, remove two nuts holding lock cylinder, and remove the two torx bolts holding the trim piece to the trunk.

The whole trim piece will pop off, disconnect the connectors, unscrew the housings, reverse.

Yeah wasn't so bad, expect I think the screws for the actual housings are torx bits. All of them came off with my phillips (I didn't realize it was torx.. i had just bought a kit of 5 torx screwdrivers though) and rounded the head of a rusty screw. Had to drill it out. Seeing that small trunk piece off the car really makes me wanna take it off and wash everything good though, was kinda dirty :/

That's a crowded bay!

I came across a question the other day. I picked up a 03 jetta Wolfsburg. Comes with the AWP engine and the valve cover has the push in style coils. The ones that you need the adapter for on the bolt down style. Why not switch valve covers and eliminate the ugly adapter and just make it easier?
