Default AC problem solved

With the help of bshusted I diagnosed the AC problem. It was blowing warm at a stop. Turns out it is the temp switch located just above the bottom radiator hose, driver's side. Part is on order so next weekend I get to replace that. I'm also replacing the fan as well as all accessory belts and tensioner etc. as long as I have it in service position.

I went to war with my headlight washer pump. Pain in the butt getting it not to leak!

Default New fun version of valve cover oil leak

Having replaced valve cover and tensioner gaskets on both banks of my '98 2.8a couple of years back, I was rather dismayed to start seeing and smelling smoke again. It was getting bad quickly, including drips on the garage floor and more frequent puffs of smoke than I could recall having seen pre- gasket replacement. So I have a look and find oil pooled up in the well around the #4 cylinder spark plug hole. After checking the oil cap, which is right above it and would be a logical culprit, not to mention easy fix, I discover two cracks in the cover itself, right between the #4 cylinder and the cam chain tensioner. Was able to temporarily stop the leak by smearing gasket compound into the cracks, and it's held up well for a week now. Just received a used replacement cover, ready to swap it out. Frankly, I'm more worried about what caused the cracks than the cracks themselves... Sloppy cam chain / tensioner?!!? Anybody else ever seen this?

Also need to address a couple of codes related to o2 sensor and cam position sensor before my inspection sticker expires this month.

Wanted something different. The A4 was my daily and I was tired of fixing it every weekend so I could get to work on Monday. Traded it for a '07 JK Sahara. I already miss it, but the Jeep has been a lot of fun. First car I've ever had with a warranty lol.

I'll stick around and keep you guys in line though, no worries

In shock right now, you're one of the last people I expected to get rid of their car!
