Gave the car a bath yesterday. First hand wash since October. This winter was pretty brutal on the b5 unfortunately... It feels great having a clean car again, though. Today I think I'll be cleaning out/detailing the interior along with a vag com scan so I can finally order the right o2 sensor. Oh, and ordering tires.

Duralast, apparently. It was a headache that I could have avoided, but I was able to get a little more educated about the ENTIRE ignition system in the process, so not all is lost.

Gotta agree there - always good to learn. My story for today? Magnafail.

Dropped the car to have the muffler welded on and my resonator and piping are all shitted up and need replacement. So now I need to order a Vibrant 12" perf-core resonator and the shop will be mandrel-bending the necessary piping. Gonna take awhile longer to get everything but it should be worth it. And I learned that my flexpipes are fine - I suspected them to have tears but it was actually the crappy slipcollars that are joining the pipes. New ones will be installed when the exhaust is fabbed up.

Those big *** clamps suck something fierce. Both of mine rusted out from under my 97. One actually flopped off and I ran it over lol. I'm excited to hear how this thing sounds with that vibrant resonator and the Magnaflow.

It'll sound killer That's the same setup Bill has on the Passat. The difference is mine is being built with 2.5" mandrel-bent pipes and mine is a manual where his is tip, so I should be able to take better advantage of the sound. It'll be in place well before the meet.
