Just by looking at the OP's pics, I'm going to throw out that its a '97 A4 1.8t; obviously the trans is harder to determine, but the other info is more or less sufficient for the more basic bolt on stuffs 
In fact, I think it was a post of yours, Kraut, that I learned the basic visual differences in the years and motor types in my early days on the forums lol
