What do these do? Pics! Other questions too!
Hey guys, I bought a 98 A4 1.8T fwd last week, Didnt come with a manual
so I'm so lost with this being my first audi.
I have a few questions.
What is this? What does it do? Its to the left of the driver seat.

What is this hose? Where does it go and whats it used for?
I can't find where to plug it in.

What is this at the bottom of the pan? Looks like a Sensor, But nothing is plugged into it!?!?!?!

So how do I activate my headlight washers? I know I gottem, I pryed up the cap a lil but and saw water jets. I help the windshield washer on for like 20 sec and nothing happened with the headlights.
Also, there are two buttons to the left of the Defrost switch above the radio.
What do these do? I can only use them when the headlights are on, and
ones yellow and ones green. I'm clueless!
Please answer and help me out, Thanks!

1) Motion sensor for the alarm.
2) Some kind of vac line, I think. Keep looking for a nipple.
3) Don't know.
4) With your headlights ON, hold the windshield washer stalk for 5-10 seconds and the should pop up and make a mess. If they don't, check your fuses.
4) Those buttons are for the fogs. One is for the front fogs and one is for the rear fog (yes, singular).

I don't have any foglights.... So why are they lighting up like I should?
The only fuse panel I know of is on the left side of the dash, and those are all good.
The fogs arent built into the headlight are they? Aside from that I dont have any...
BTW, Thank you so much for helping me out.

they are built into the headlights on us pre-facers. and on the rear, theres only a fog bulb and its on the left tail light. the left button is for front only. the right button is for the front and rear. the rear wont come on without the front unless you mod it.
Oh ok, Then I guess I need to check the bulbs.
Thanks!
Still wondering about that thing on the bottom of the pan. Seems like a sensor,
But nothing is plugged into it. :/
Also gotta figure out the headlight washer problem.
Thanks again guys!
I have more questions I'll ask tomm.

Another question, I've tried searching but can't find it.
I don't have a factory manual.
Where can I find a link showing what each Number on the fuse panel is for
what part.
That way I can see exactly which fuse is for the headlight washer.
Thanks!
