What ecu can a 1998 use?

Sorry i have a noob question, i'm going to send my ecu in to get chipped, but i need my car so i was wondering if any b5 ecu would work?
Or if i need the exact same.

i have a 1.8t a4 quattro 1998.

Sorry I dont have your answer but im sending mine out monday, I have the same year and engine as you, let me know what you think when you get it back. (whos doing the chipping).
