Default What Part is this and how do i remove it?

Hello Everybody at AudiWorld, I am currently in the middle of a big project by " blacking out " my interior cabin. I have currently re upholstered the front pillars by the windshield, reupholstered the rear deck. and painted the rear deck 3rd brake light housing, and the speaker grills. I am currently painting the 2 middle pillars. but there are 2 pillars in the back that i am having a hard time figuring out how to remove. these are the last plastic pieces i need to paint before bringing my car up to the shop to have seats and doors reupholstered in leather. Here is a picture below of the trim i'm having a hard time figuring out how to remove.

Here is a picture of my rear deck( just for opinion from others on how i did )

Lastly, can anyone tell me what this button is for? i've never seen it, out of the 3 years i have owned my vehicle.

That button enables/disables the motion sensors in the interior of the car. As for the rear pillars, not sure, but a quick google search got me this:

B5 Headliner Removal.

Good luck!

Sorry I don't completely understand what you mean, but what motion sensors are you talking about? what do they activate?

They are part of the alarm system, they detect motion inside the cab of the car when the system is armed. That button allows you to deactivate the sensors if you want to leave the windows cracked.

That is the C pillar, notorious for cracking when taking it off. Be careful!
