I've got a '97 A4 Quattro V6. The quotes I'm seeing around here are $3k to do my clutch, which seems quite high to me. A friend of mine bought the parts himself and just brought them to the shop and saved a bunch of money, so I was hoping to do that.

Near as I can tell, I need a "clutch kit", like this:
