Blow-off Valves.

When on boost unused boost gets "blown off". Sounds cool if you are into that kind of thing. Youtube it and you will understand.

I use a bov and i dont think youd die if you saw my car. maybe youd die from the awesomeness

 

I agree, with BOV's = Sexy, but dont mexy your **** out.. thats bad..

 

At a certain level of tuning and modification, a BOV is required.

Most people never reach that level, therefore a BOV is just obnoxious

 

I know exactly what a blow off valve is, but that's not a typical riced out Honda part, so I didn't understand the obscurity.

I also have to disagree with you on that. I think a nice little chirp is **** on any boosted car.

Exactly what not to do for first time owners...

The B5 uses a diverter valve which recirculates metered air back into the intake. The DV/BOV argument has been made ad nauseum in this forum. Unless you're heavily modifying and making 400+ HP, and are tuned to use a BOV, then you just sound like a ricer...
