Default What years match 96 interior?

Hi, I was looking to switch out the cloth interior on my 96 a4 quattro with leather seats but I am not sure up to what model year I can use for the donor interior. I was planning on getting front, rear seats, and door panels.

Should I just stick to looking for 96, 97 interiors or could I use 99 or even 00?

Any help or a point into the right direction would be appreciated

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that any B5 interior will work. 96-97 should def work though.

I just always have liked leather in my vehicles.

I was hoping 98,99,00 might fit so I could enlarge my junkyard search and what I have to choose from.

I believe anything from 96 to 01 leather will fit directly with little to non mods

I'm with you with the sport cloth! I don't think they have leather seats with any 96 or 97 A4's. I don't know when they started using leather.

Well, I sent an email to Chris Semple (chris@force5auto.com) from Force 5 Automotive who recycle Audi/VW's and
I think I got my answer:
Anything from '96-'01 will fit in. Just make sure you keep the bases the same. ie: power based seats won't fit manual based seats.

Leather is warm and comfy and doesn't stain as easily and also you get seat warmers.

and yes, my 96 does have real leather in there and it's nice and supple on the butt checks when the seat warmers are keeping me toasty.
