Default What's Next? Bye bye b5

So ladies and gents not most of you dont know but I owned an Audi a4 FWD 1.8t, with some goodies on it...... well I let my b5 go friday to a new owner. I had it up for a week or two and went to delete my craigslist post friday when I got home. Before I could do it, I got a call from someone interested. Thinking they werent serious like almost all people that call I said "come on over and look at it" within 20 mins I was signing over the title. It was really hard, but I benefited 100% from it. Anyone have any suggestions on what to look into as far as a new vehicle? Im not working with a ton of money but have my eyes on a few things. Im working with roughly 5-6k on cash.

Smile E36

I own a 1994 BMW 318i 5 spd convertible and I really do like it. We bought the car wrecked about 5 years ago and finally got it on the road about a year and a half ago. Its got 114,000 miles and I have to say its a solid little car. It's not as fast as my B6 and it's not as refined but it's a pretty simple car to work on. There is so much more room in the engine compartment then the b6 and its just a nice little car. I would definitely pick up an e36.

I vote E36 as well. My Dad has a 1994 318i 5-speed with nearly 180k miles on it--runs like a champ. Higher miles no longer scare me after buying this car. Didn't look for anything special since all we were shopping for was a commuter car, but it does seem that a good E36 can be picked up relatively cheaply.

Thats a good offer you got for 5k.
Why did you decide to sell your a4?

My next plans for me will be getting a b6 and doing a b7 front end conversion.
It will be an interesting project.
