What's it worth?
Hello,
I'm done with it. I used my 1997 A4 2.8Q Auto through winter, and was more than impressed with the AWD performance. Otherwise, it was a constant source of heartache after fixing something and another thing needing attention. Regardless, I now need it out of the driveway. I just have no clue what would be a reasonable price for it. Here's the Details-
1997 Black Audi A4 2.8Q Automatic
-220k miles
-fair/good condition leather seats, heated fronts
-broken automatic shifter
-missing two trim pieces
-~3,000 miles on a full Meyle front suspension
-BAD transmission: no reverse, neutral acts up, moves otherwise
-HID headlamps
-minor oil leaks
-good tire tread all around
-sunroof, power windows all around
I think that's everything. I bought it to be a winter car, and it far exceeded my expectations. But with the transmission going, I've decided to call it quits. I paid 2700 for it when I got it, so I'd like to recuperate a little of that.
Finally, thanks everyone for all your help. I would have pulled my hair out/been even more broke/given up much sooner had it not been for the enormous Audi community and DIY's and such.
Thanks,
Brooks
