Yes, 17X9 with ET. 36 will fit fine with some stretch but the real question is how low are you?

Also the ET will depend on how you want the car to sit. The more poke you want, the lower the offset.

really dont care for poke rather have tuck... right now i know the sway barbounces off the ground when i hit a decent dip but i have h&r coils... so i can go lower or higher if need be but i do want some nice tuckage

I'm pretty sure 9" with ET36 will be a little less than flush to the fenders.

What kind of reps are we talking about? ESM?

Honestly, different people have different definitions of flush so I personally can't tell you what to get.

Although from what I can tell based on past experience, the setup you mentioned will be semi flush with no poke at all. You might be rubbing in the front if your fenders aren't rolled and you are low/tucking so you might have to do slight stretching for your tires (I'd suggest going 215 - may be too much stretch for you tho) or 225. Note that different tires stretch differently. Some will give you more stretch and some won't.

ET 36 should fit the stock brakes with no problem (unless you're running some BBK) so there's no spacers needed for the setup.

My wheels are 8" wide with 235s and ET37 and I rub all the time. Seems that a 9" wheel would definitely rub if the car is lowered but I defer to Randy - his car rubs more than mine

Wish I had your roads. I'm dropped 2.5" and my fenders are a fingerwidth off the tires. I could not go lower even if I dared (which I don't, given our roads around here).

I've been wondering how low I can go here in SF before I high center myself on the hills.
