I have a bone stock 04 a4 and would like to give it a better stance. What size wheels can I get away with WITHOUT changing anything else, so I have no clearance issues? I really have no knowledge when it comes to that. Help me out please. If you have any pix, that would also be great

Look at the pic in my signature. That's bone stock with 17" wheels from a B6 and 225/45/17 tires. Same offset as the OE setup, no spacers, nothing. Don't know if you can go farther when stock.

 

In general, any 8" wide wheel up to and including 19" diameter with an offset of +35 or so should fit. Run 225-section tires and you shouldn't have to roll the fenders.
