Jeremy why do you also recommend 225/40/18? Just curious, but when I got my wheels from Hartmann they told me to get 235/40/18. That's what I'm currently running.

They likely made that recommendation for one of two reasons. One, based on the width of your wheels. If you are running a wide-enough wheel the 235 may have been recommended so that you aren't stretching the tire. Or, it may have been simply because it fits and it gives you a wider contact patch. If you mess with a tire size calculator you'll see that the 225-40 is extremely close to the stock 205-55 with respect to rolling diameter, which means the new shoes on the car will have a negligible effect on the accuracy of your speedometer, odometer, etc.

I got one of the first sets of the Hartmanns which are 8.5" wide now.
