Wheel size change

Wheel size change
Hey everybody, Its me again. So I thought about it today and I am wondering what the pros/cons of switching out my wheels would be. I am currently using the stock 97 a4 rims with all season performance tires. I'm wanting to swap out for my 15" low profile rims with low profile tires (which are terrible in snow rain and all that other good stuff) but I think if i don't do anything stupid and keep it slow I won't have a problem. So in your opinions what should I do?? Thanks guys!

I'm confused. So you want to replace the tires with low profile tires? What kind of tires are they?
Lower profile tires would mess with the accuracy of your speedometer. That's the only downside I can think of.

2. Swap the wheels after you get new tires.

Ok so let me rephrase what I was trying to say. A bit of confusion has come up lol. I want to sea my 97 a4 stock rims that have all season performance tires and ar 16" with 15" enkei rims that have low profile tires and don't come with any of tire size. So besides the fact it would look weird with smaller rims. What should I do?

As Kriptonik mentioned, changing the size of the wheel without changing the aspect ratio of the tire will throw off your speedometer, and also probably look silly. For the stock 16" sport wheels you should be running 205/55-16 or thereabouts. For 15" wheels you'll want something like 205/60-15, depending on the width of the wheel. I have OEM Celebrations that are 17x7.5" and I run 225/45-17 Goodyears. Changing the width/aspect ratio of the tire according to wheel size will keep the overall rolling diameter roughly the same which will help keep your speedometer accurate.

You could look at the site listed below to finding a tire setup that would come close to what you have now.
