its actually really easy and costs a maximum of about 35 dollars for paint? if that

take them off, tape off the lip, sand the centers down a little, put a coat of primer on, sand down the primer, few coats of black engine enamel, and a few coats of clean and you're good.
they have lasted me all summer/ winter without any signs of wear and tear on the paint. very surpised.
