I want to do an accurate timing (don't want to rely on the oval index plate on the cam sprocket); was told to take the valve covers off and look for the timing marks on the cams.

Can't find anything.

Need urgent help, please.

 

On the 30v there are notches on the cam just inside the chain sprocket. I would think it is the same or similar on the 12v. There are little arrows on the closest bearing cap that they should line up with.
