i have a problem getting a clearance here in philippines to get the car registered under my name. We cant find the engine number engrave on the engine.

we need to find it and have it stencil.

my car is 98 a4 1.8 turbo.

can somene tell where can i find it. or someone have a picture of its location. someone told that it need to remove the intake manifold..

Here you go, pardon the quality.

 

that is where it is located on the block. if you dont need the whole number you can just get the engine code of the head. but if you need the whol number thats the oly place know where it is. plus, it will probably be rusty, not to mention there is hardly any room with the engine installed
